Dean Deb Scerbicke Named Hearts of Gold Educator of the Year
It is with an abundance of joy and Lion pride, that we announce that Dean Deb Scerbicke has been named the recipient of the 2021 Village of Arlington Heights Hearts of Gold Educator of the Year Award.
Each year, since 1999, the Village has recognized members of the community with the Hearts of Gold recognition in 11 different categories such as Business Leader, Volunteer, Mentor, Young at Heart, and others. The Special Events Committee receives dozens of nominations from throughout the community and then spends time evaluating, discussing, and determining the more deserving recipients. We couldn't be more pleased that Dean Deb has been selected to receive this well-earned recognition.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, for the first time since the inception of the awards, there will not be a gala to celebrate the winners. Instead, there will be a virtual event that we encourage each of you to watch; we will share the details for that in the days ahead.
We are genuinely blessed to have Dean Deb as a part of our community and the multiple nominations she received from residents is just one way of acknowledging the impact she has had on so many young men and women during her time at Saint Viator.
We will provide more details as they become available but wanted to share this great news as soon as possible.
