Saint Viator Sophomore Honored with Blessed Carlo Acutis Merit Award
Saint Viator High School is proud to announce that sophomore Wesley Marshall was recently awarded the Blessed Carlo Acutis Merit Award, a prestigious honor presented to high school students in Vicariate I for their outstanding service and leadership within both their parish and school communities.
Named in honor of Blessed Carlo Acutis, a modern-day teen known for his deep devotion to the Eucharist and innovative use of technology to evangelize, the award celebrates young Catholics who embody Carlo’s mission of spreading the Gospel through digital platforms. At an award ceremony last month, Wesley was recognized by newly ordained Bishop Timothy O'Malley for his collaborative efforts in creatively and effectively sharing the Catholic faith with his peers.
Wesley has demonstrated a strong commitment to digital evangelization, using social media to build community, foster spiritual growth, and create new opportunities for prayer and reflection among youth in his parish, St. Anne School in Barrington, and the wider community.
We congratulate Wesley on this well-deserved honor!
