Senior Receives Prestigious Golden Rose Award

On February 1, Ainslie McKenna was honored with the Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women’s Vicariate 1 Golden Rose Award. This prestigious award is presented annually to one high school-aged young woman from each parish or school who demonstrates exceptional commitment to her Catholic faith, virtue, service, and leadership. Ainslie was one of 28 students recognized this year.

In her nomination, Ms. Dianne Marshall from Saint Viator’s Campus Ministry highlighted Ainslie’s steadfast dedication to her faith and service. She praised Ainslie for her contributions to the Saint Viator liturgy planning team, her leadership in retreat programs, and her active involvement in her parish community, Our Lady of the Wayside.

“Ainslie is an integral part of the Saint Viator High School community as part of the Campus Ministry Liturgy planning team, where she helps prepare our liturgical events at the school. She has also served as a Kairos leader, leading her peers through various activities and sharing a witness talk on how God has worked through her. She has also been a leader at our Service and Song camp and taught middle school students how to put their faith into action. She is also an active member of her parish community, Our Lady of the Wayside, where she plays the cello during Mass. She goes above and beyond to share her faith with others.”

Congratulations, Ainslie!
